I started my career in practice, working closely with business owners and seeing first hand how confusing and overwhelming finances, tax and compliance can feel. That experience shaped how I work today, focused on making things clear, practical and easy to manage.

Through Blackdown Accounting, I help business owners take control of their numbers, from setting up simple, effective bookkeeping systems to understanding tax, avoiding costly mistakes and feeling confident in their decisions.

I’m also the voice behind TaxTalks and author of publications including 'What Everyone Needs to Know About Tax - The Practical Handbook' and 'The Business Owner’s Tax Year Planner', where I share straightforward, no jargon guidance and techniques to help business owners better understand tax, comply with requirements and translate what it means in real terms.

I live in the lovely coastal town of Sidmouth in Devon with my husband, three children and our dog, and enjoy coastal walks and sea swimming whenever I can.
